sourdough crumpets



makes 4 crumpets


prep time: 10 minutes

cook time: 7 minutes


ingredients


100g leftover sourdough starter

40g bread flour

40g water

1 tsp baking powder

pinch of salt


oil, to grease crumpet rings


method


combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and whisk together


grease crumpet rings with an oil spray


add the ring to a non stick pan and ladle in around 3 tbsp of the mixture, about 1/2 way up the ring


cook until you see bubbles in the centre of the crumpet (6-7 minutes)


serve with butter and marmalade
